The LLC is a 501(c)(3) organization that does not charge tuition or receive government funding in order to serve the most financially needy of Lubbock’s teenagers. Recently, enrolled students chose to pay a small fee or perform community service hours each month as a way to show their appreciation for LLC’s services. LLC operates free of government funding in order to avoid the current trend towards high-stakes testing and relies completely on private donations from individuals and organizations that recognize the value of a student-centered approach to engage active learning.
